Spotify introduced its smart player “Car Thing”, which is an important step in the strategy it announced in 2019. The device, which has a touch screen, allows its users to access various content via Spotify. The Car Thing is not a standalone device but connects to your phone over Bluetooth and uses the mobile phone’s internet connection to stream music.

Whereas Spotify will let anybody with an account sign up for its waitlist, whether free or premium, you still need a premium account to really utilize this gadget. Car Thing is at $79.99 and you may consider using it if you like playing music while driving.

With its 3.97’’ touchscreen and USB Type-C power connection, Spotify offers an easy-to-use experience.
